Currently sitting an impressive 6th on the Victorian Trainers Premiership with 76 wins and a 15.2% winning strike rate, the Payne Stable continues to prove why they’re one of the most respected and versatile teams in Victoria.

Their recent dominance at Flemington, saddling up four winners on the same day was a testament of their talent and hard work. Whether it’s a sharp sprinter, a tough stayer or a promising miler, Patrick and Michelle have the knack for placing their horses in the most suitable races enabling them to get the best results on the track.

One of the reasons we love working with the Payne team is Michelle’s incredible hands-on approach. As a Melbourne Cup-winning Jockey, there’s no one better to feel how a horse is progressing. She rides our filly herself and gives us invaluable feedback, which is the sort of insight you simply can’t buy.

When we choose trainers for our horses, we look for horse people who bring experience, a hands-on approach and genuine care for each horse. Patrick and Michelle’s training style compliment each other, and now they are reaping the rewards.
