It is unquestionable that her style on and off the track have been instrumental in her broadcasting success but Lizzie attributes the foundations of her success to her racing mentor and friend Gary Fennesy and his generosity of spirit.

‘He basically taught me the majority of everything that I know… I travelled with him to Japan with Fields Of Omagh and went to Hong Kong and all around Australia with him. If I ever had anything to ask, he would guide me.
She has a sharp expert eye as she simultaneously studies the form, track, the condition and fitness and history of each horse and winner.

Respected and recently referred to as ‘the peoples champion’ her comments are respected by owners, trainers and punters across Australia with her selections, regularly influencing betting trends and Lizzie has developed a deserved reputation for regularly finding longshot winners.
